It was unfortunate that the second half of UNIV 150 had to completed online for me because in the first half of the class I was becoming a better writer. When it was in person and I was getting to have one-on-one time with the instructor I was learning a lot and understanding more. In the second half of the class, it was hard for me because with the coronavirus I ended up working a lot more than when I was going into class. This made it harder the achieve my writing goals. It also, made me get behind in many assignments in the class and I feel as though my quality of work in the class went down because I was attempting to do many assignments at one time. In the two essays I did turn in I did do a good job in making sure they were written with good structure and on Essay #3 I didn’t make many mistakes in general. With the grade I got, I felt as though I really improving in every aspect of my writing. This includes content, word choice, punctuation, and mechanics. I’m the proudest of my improvements with punctuation throughout the semester. In the beginning, I made a lot of errors involving commas, and in the last quarter, none of my returned work had errors involving commas or punctuation at all. I could have done a better job checking my email and keeping up with notes and updates for the class in the last quarter of the semester. I did do a few grammar practices online and I believe they are very helpful and quick and easy to complete. Completing the last two essays weren’t very difficult. I’m also sure that if I needed any help, I could email my professor. My professor was also responding to emails quickly so I would have my questions answered in a timely manner. Completing the quizzes on blackboard was very easy. I read and skimmed through the textbook and I could find all the answers to the questions in there. My Word Press website turned out good. After playing around with the site I figured out how it all worked and got all of the necessary work uploaded to receive a good grade. UNIV 150 prepared me for English 110. I’m now a very confident writer and with all of the information I soaked in I believe ill do well in English 110 and receive a good grade in the end.
