For this TalkAbroad assignment, I was given the opportunity to have an immersive conversation with someone from a spanish speaking country. My very first conversation was done with Nahomy who is from Dominican Republic and we spoke about stereotypes and identity. This experience allowed me to be fully immersed into a spanish speaking conversation and gain confidence in speaking to a spanish speaker and being able to understand and properly communicate.
