Israel Lim
Currently serving as a United States Navy Information Systems Technician with 7 years of experience in installation, operation and administration of local and wide area network systems. Using a foundation in mobile and afloat radio communication, I specialize in administration of data encryption, decryption and sensor delivery solutions for Department of Defense networks. Between 2017 and 2022, I maintained over 2,000 end user accounts over 6 enterprise systems in Virginia and abroad as part of NATO operations in Europe. In 2023, I began my role as systems admin and communications watch officer overseeing the daily operation, and maintenance of 40+ secure shore based communication suites.
I am enrolled part time in Old Dominion University in the never ending pursuit to acquire new skills and further professional knowledge and experience. Working towards earning a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, I hope to continue serving my country in the Federal sector upon completion of my active service.
Raised in sunny Kaimuki, Hawaii. Now a resident of sunny Virginia Beach, Virginia. When not behind my desk or underneath equipment, you can find me in the backyard putting barbecue theories to test, cycling the capital trail, or kayaking with my beautiful wife Shannon.
