Choose this business as the business that you will focus on throughout this semester. Describe some of the information systems that you might have in your business. Describe how you would leverage collaboration and social business for your business.

Answer: In our idea for a business that provides over the phone and in-person services for Information Technology (IT) support, we would have several business processes in my organization including identifying customers within the sales and marketing department, processing transactions and handling payrolls for employees within the finance and accounting department, and hiring qualified employees and evaluating their performance on the job within the human resources department; in addition, we would utilize several systems like TPS, MIS, DDS, EES, Knowledge Management systems, e-commerce, and social media platforms in order to operate our business and socially connect with other businesses around us. In terms of marketing, our business would advertise both digitally more nationally and physically locally my business and what our service provides. Next, the financial side of the business would be accomplished both through E-commerce and a Transaction Processing System to ensure everything looks good money wise and proper allocation of funds to employees, materials, and more are properly distributed. Finally, human resources would use MIS and DDS to keep track of each of the IT technicians both for the routine and nonroutine occurrences on the job and to use that data to address any issues with the employees. All of this information would be compiled to our senior management in which an EES would be used to make informed decisions to increase the overall productivity and growth of the business.
