In my AP Japanese class, we started with a summer assignment, where we learned 400 kanji. While in the class, we continued to study these kanji, while also learning new sentence structures and vocabulary, in order to improve our overall understanding of Japanese. While in the class, we contributed to a blog-like website called Global Classmates, where we interacted with Japanese students taking English classes. We would send out messages in both English and Japanese, so that the students learning English could better understand the meaning of what we were trying to communicate. The students in Japan would write their messages in English and Japanese, so that we could better understand what they mean.
I think that this class prepared me to continue learning Japanese, because it taught me how to try to use new sentence structures and vocabulary. The class also prepared me by acquainting me with a lot of kanji, which would become useful in writing later.
When I graduated high school, my school deleted all of my files, so I don’t have any remaining documents of my previous work.
