I finally got to see my big brother Steven, after not seeing him since move in. My brother recently joined the army and he had to go to Oklahoma for basic training, he left not too soon after I started college. It was hard having him away and not being able to talk to him whenever I wanted to. Being as though my brother is my best friend this visit to see him was long awaited for. In order to go see my brother I had to take three planes, and miss a few days of class. I finally saw him and he gave me a big brother hug but this one was special, it was a lot longer and tighter than normal. My brother and I spent family day catching up and having fun, he was telling me the good and bad about basic training and his life through the last few months. The next day was the big day, Steven graduated from basic training, I couldn’t have been more proud of him even if I tried. Those two days went by quickly, I wish I could have spent more time with him. Although it took three planes and missing school it was worth it; seeing my older brother and best friend and I cannot wait to see him soon over winter break.
