I moved from Carbon, Indiana in the fourth grade. I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and I grew up in the small town. I had a big house with a huge yard. I spent most of my days playing outside with my brother Steven and jumping on my trampoline. The small town I lived in did not have many people, so I often played outside by myself. When my family moved to Virginia, it was sad for my siblings and me because we left all of our friends in school behind. I saw it as a fresh start, though I always liked making new friends. Moving to Virginia was truly a blessing, I would not have the same opportunities in life such as going to college. If I still lived in Carbon, Indiana, I would have nothing. I would just be working at a minimum wage job struggling to pay rent. I loved living there, though, because it was so peaceful compared to Virginia with all if the traffic. Overall, I’m really glad I moved here.
