Interview with a Leader-Cindy Davis

One educational highlight would be that in my Women in Leadership course I had the pleasure of interviewing my mentor Ms. Cindy Davis. Here is some excerpts of my paper where I highlighted what Cindy Davis has meant for my career.

“Cindy helped me with the various certifications or career paths I should pursue. Cindy has always been encouraging with sound, forward-thinking advice. Her career path is something that I aspire towards, along with other women leaders in our industry, hope to follow. Cindy gave this advice for young people an woman looking to the code profession as careers, ” I would tell them not to be deterred by fear and never take no for an answer. It can be challenging to walk into a room where others in your profession dont look like you. Don’t let that stop you, because you bing the same amount of ability as anyone else. Never let not being the same as others in the room stop you or vice versa!” I would encourage those in the profession to reach out and mentor the next generation. If people don’t know if this profession exists they will never find out what to be apart of this industry.
