UNIV150
Throughout my time taking UNIV 150, I say it has impacted my writing progress greatly. By the end of the class, it has improved my writing skills compared to how I started. The class helped me organize my thoughts by using an outline. Learning how to properly make a good outline helps me write an essay easily. Another thing that this class has thought me to be aware of is comma splices. I have the tendency to have multiple comma splices in my essays. Even though I still make this mistake a lot in my writing, I have been able to identify these mistakes. Lastly, this class taught me I should not be afraid to get people to revise my writings. With people revising my writings, it allows those who revising work to catch mistakes that I did not catch. This allows me to correct my writing and helps me become a better writer. So in conclusion, if students are struggling to write a paper they should take this class because it sure has improved my writing greatly.
The eportfolio has been a useful tool for UNIV 150 this semester. The eportfolio is where we put our writing reflection on the class and share a little bit about ourselves on our own website. This allowed us to express our own personalities and the variety of different people that are in this class. The writing reflections allowed use to write little journal entries for 6 week periods. This helped us show our growth throughout the semester. Last, thing that we added on our eportfolios is some of our assignments throughout the semester. This helped us share our work with others, so they can see examples of our growth in writing. In conclusion, the eportfolio is a useful tool for this class.
