How do I post content in a non-academic sense?
I mainly post sports content through my X/Twitter account which you all can follow!!!
Follow @teev on X/Twitter for content that is quicker and more timely than whole written blog entry!
To the left is an example of one of my sports tweets. In this tweet, I am talking about University of Alabama’s football schedule for next year. Due to the new coaching situation, my post aims to;
- Show my opinion on the current situation
- To shine light on how the change in BAMA is happening now
- MOSTLY TO GIVE A SPACE FOR DISCUSSION
This tweet is specifically designed to provoke a sort of emotion from the viewer to inspire discussion. Tweets like this give people a place to talk about ULTRA SPECIFIC topics about sports.
While some other post on my page are more for comedic relief of situations involving sports, such as the post shown to the right;
The repost of Shedeur Sanders, “Highest graded QB in the 4th Quarter/OT last season” with the comment displaying; “Spent a lot of time playing against 3rd string defenses trailing by 25” is another attempt to provoke emotion. This time rather, the main source of provocation is through humor.
This post directly aims to provoke discussion through the use of one fact against another. Using this Colorado post as an example, while it is true that Sanders was the highest rated QB in the 4th/OT last year, he did also face a couple 3rd string defenses trailing by 20. This use of ironic commentary provokes the reader into a discussion and inner thought process of what really outshines what in this situation.
Throughout this article, I have displayed that my main means of commentary on platforms is to provoke. Either through the use of recent information and a controversial stance, or through ironic and comedic means to instigate a response from the masses and an overall discussion .
Though my sports persona is more than just irony/humor and the recent news. My sports persona is someone who takes the highly controversial stances in regards to sports to inspire further discussion into the topic rather than complete avoidance.
My thought Process is that someone has to take the most controversial stance in order for COMPLETE DISCUSSION of the topic. Without a person who takes the controversial stances like myself, single viewpoint narratives will start to fill the sports media outlets that we know and love.
