There is an obvious connection to the social science of criminology with how interwoven the career is with the criminal justice system, gathering data on offenders for criminologists to study, analyze, and use in court cases. The speaker also describes a clear connection to economics, with his career path all stemming from being an accountant. His experience with financial data and mathematics allow for his career to analyze user behavior to detect fraud and embezzlement and understand what that looks like in a company record or audit. Digital forensics can connect to psychology because employees need to understand the person they are targeting, how they manipulate and store data, and how to make it look like they never interfered with their systems.
