Explain why you rank each motive the way you rank it.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#1: Multiple Reasons makes the most sense because overlap exists between many of the other reasons, for example stealing money from a politician can be for money, politics, and revenge depending on the politicians past actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#2: Money because of the high amount even entry-level hackers make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#3: Revenge because cybercrimes are one of the easiest forms of revenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#4: Politics, because of how many hacktivist groups try to popularize hacking as a political tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#5: Entertainment because, despite some big cases, I don\u2019t think entertainment is enough of a motivator most of the time to get people to risk punishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#6: Boredom because it seems like a less likely version of entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#7: Recognition because cybercrimes are often anonymous.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assignment Description: &#8220;Review the articles linked with each individual motive in the presentation page&#8230; Rank the motives from 1 to 7 as the motives that you think make the most sense (being 1) to the least sense (being 7).
