and dating apps provide new ways to connect with and meet friends, family, and romantic
partners necessary for the love and belonging stage. The esteem stage is also affected by social
media, as many now tie their identity and worth in with how many people follow them online or
publicly posting their achievements. Lastly, self-actualization has become easier because
