After reading the document “50 Cybersecurity Titles That Every Job Seeker Should Know About”, the main disciplines found in the cybersecurity field are computer engineering, computer science, information systems, software engineering, and information technology. Those are the main skills/disciplines that every worker in the cybersecurity field needs. The two jobs I found interesting and researched were a Blockchain developer and a counterespionage analyst. While working as a blockchain developer you are preventing hacks and ensuring safe transactions when it comes to digital banking and prevents leaks and hacks of citizen’s personal information. To my surprise, there are two types of blockchain developers, and they are known as blockchain software developers and core blockchain developers. The responsibilities of a blockchain software developer build applications based on blockchain architecture and protocol. For the core blockchain developer, their responsibilities are to focus on the security of blockchain and oversees all the decisions made for the blockchain network, and ensures that the security of the network is safe and secure. Some disciplines needed for this job are cryptography, web development, great communication skills, and programming skills. My second job in the cybersecurity field is as a counterespionage analyst. Their responsibilities are to stop cyberspies that are from hostile nations. They will also conduct investigations and collect evidence against those who are committing these cybercrimes and the disciplines needed for this position is knowledge of criminal justice, computer science, engineering, and information technology.
