The NICE Framework in cybersecurity provides a comprehensive overview of various positions and roles, ranging from governance and implementation to analysis and investigation. Within the cybersecurity field, numerous roles are in demand, each catering to different aspects of the discipline.

One role that stands out is that of a Cybersecurity Architect. This position is crucial for designing and implementing security systems that meet compliance standards. With the growing adoption of cloud technologies, cybersecurity architects will play a vital role in ensuring that these systems are securely integrated and effectively managed. As more companies transition to cloud environments, the expertise of cybersecurity architects will become increasingly valuable.

Another intriguing role is that of a Systems Security Analyst. This role involves monitoring and evaluating the performance of systems to ensure they adhere to security standards. As new technologies continue to emerge, systems security analysts will be essential in maintaining robust security measures and addressing potential vulnerabilities.

A role I wasn’t interested in was the cybersecurity policy analyst. This position involves crafting and recommending cybersecurity policies, which often requires extensive communication with various stakeholders and can be less focused on technical hands-on work.
