Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs outlines five levels: physiological, safety, love/belonging, esteem, and self-actualization. In the physiological aspect technology and physiology relate to areas where my basic needs can be met, such as Uber or food delivery. In technology, safety is relative to protecting our personal information and providing peace of mind. Social media and other dating sites leave room for us to create loving relationships all through the use of technology. The use of social media and technology also connects with esteem as posting pictures and getting online recognition would boost your esteem. Lastly, self-actualization is pursued through online job listings or school as it pertains to personal interests and skills. Every stage demonstrates how technology not only satisfies basic necessities but also promotes connection and personal growth.
