There are so many ways cybersecurity can be implemented into a company’s training protocols. If I was a Chief Information Security Officer I would start by adding a system like the NIST Framework. I would do this because the NIST Framework is an essential part of companies’ cybersecurity protocol. A framework like this helps them defend their networks and data while also helping them better understand, manage, and decrease the cybersecurity threats. In an article it stated, “By utilizing the NIST framework, you give your team access to an efficient, versatile, and inexpensive method of dealing with risks. You also ensure protection and compliance in the digital sphere” (Odogwu, 2022). The second thing that I would implement into my company would be cybersecurity training for all employees. There are so many new techniques that can be used to protect systems from cyber threats and they constantly grow everyday. Once a month I would incorporate cybersecurity training into the company. I would get my employees to complete modules, bring in professionals in cybersecurity protection, and other ways to change up ways to teach my employees. An article stated, “You need to commit to a wide variety of approaches to keep your team abreast of what’s out there and what to do about it”(Jones, 2019). With this I need to be creative to make this learning experience fun and innovative to get my employees interested in what they are learning. I think having the framework is essential because it lays the foundation of the protection to the companies system, and the training keeps employers up to date on the growing threats that can occur and ways to protect the systems used. I would put more money into the framework just because I think having it will give more protection in the case of an attack and can reduce the negative impact an attack or threat causes.
