How do you think the media influences our understanding about cybersecurity?

Response:

I think that social media does have a significant influence on our understanding of cybersecurity. Many of the examples of where cybersecurity was used in movies were confirmed in a way but changed some of the realistic aspects of them. For example, The Fate of the Furious which was released in 2017 had a scene where they hacked all of the cars in that area. Cars can be hacked, but it is less likely for all the vehicles of different makes and models to be hacked how they made it seem. I think that social media gets us to believe fake scenarios about cybersecurity, but they actually might hold a little truth behind the media that is displayed.
