Through this assignment, I worked with my group to create videos for my school’s Esports team to post on social media. We also provided the team with suggestions for how they could improve their social media presence.
To create the video, we went through several steps, including scripting, filming, editing, and adding effects and graphics. Our goal was to showcase the team’s skills and attract more followers to their social media accounts. As well as create an insightful way for people to know where the Eposrts team was located on campus.
This assignment taught me a lot about Esports and strategic communication. I learned about the different platforms and channels that Esports teams use to connect with their audience, as well as the types of content that are most effective in engaging fans and building a following.
In terms of strategic communication, I gained experience in developing and executing a plan for effectively communicating a message to a target audience. By creating a video and providing recommendations for the Esports team, I gained practical experience in identifying key messages and creating content that resonates with the target demographic.
Overall, the impact of my group on the Esports team depended on the quality of the videos and the effectiveness of our recommendations. However, regardless of the specific outcomes, this assignment provided me with valuable learning experience and an opportunity to apply my skills in a real-world setting. Working with the Esports team helped me better understand the world of Esports and the importance of strategic communication in promoting and growing organizations in this industry.
