I am interested in Cybersecurity Technology because the expansion of technology is moving rapidly. Technology has been growing over years and will continue to grow as time moves forward. When looking into technology there are many advantages such also new medicines and new cures but there are many disadvantages to it as well. One example of a disadvantage includes cyberwarfare, the field I wish to go into will deal with this. I wish to use my degree to go into Cyber Forensics and when looking at this field I will be looking at a lot of the disadvantages that come with technology. When you are going into the Cybersecurity field you must look at both the ups and downs of this expansion and understand how to control and manage this. Although criminals may seem to always find a way around security, I would like to take a further look into a criminal’s mind to help protect horrible things from happening to people all over the world. Technology has been a part of my life since the day that I was brought into this world, and it will continually be until the day I die and that is why we must learn to control it. ODU has recently brought forward a new expanded Cybersecurity program that will help me get the degree that I am looking forward to. There are many people that are negatively affected by the impact of technology, and I do not wish to see anyone be negatively impacted by it, but since it seems it is inevitable, I would like to help all those impacted. Technology is something that should be used for cures, saving lives and making life simpler for ourselves and those around us. The security of technology is the most important thing today to protect yourself and others information and I feel that this should be more widely known and taught.
