When looking at the expansion of technology in the United States compared to other countries there is a dramatic difference. The expansion of technology is moving fast in America and many other countries can not keep up. Because of the expansion of technology in America many other countries realize the amount of trust that the United States is putting into their technology. The trust that America has in their technology puts us at a greater risk than many other countries. An example of America being at risk is when the gas pipelines were held for ransome and the East Coast was put at a great risk for having a gas shortage. This is a problem with the society, almost everything that runs in America is run by technology and at any second these things could be hacked into and be corrupt. I think that the United States is at a much greater risk than other countries because we keep all of our information on technology, nothing is paper anymore. This is a problem because if another country wants to gain access to our information and our weapons they can at the click of a finger. Although we do encrypt our data and protect it, if there is a glitch in the system or a back door that someone can go through, they are going to. Many other countries do use technology as well and are moving at a fast pace also but they are not comparing to America. Japan is one of the most common places we think of when thinking of technology expansion because of the amount of technology we see coming from there, and although they do have a greater amount of VR and technological advancements, I do not believe they are keeping the amount of information that America does on their technology.
