Although technology is changing rapidly, there are still policy and rules that should be followed when using technology. The development of infrastructure is not something that anyone can predict years or even months from now because the of the rapid growth. There is no one set of rules and regulations that can be set in stone for technology and because of this, policies must always be updated. Working in the cybersecurity field you want to approach this in a manner that there is always going to be change, when you start working for a company the policies and rules will continually change and be modified to fit the standard of the equipment that is being used. When looking at how businesses ran ten years ago, the policies were much shorter and simpler compared to what they are now because there is more that can be done and accessed now. When asked the question of how we should approach this change, there is not one correct answer for this except to be ready for change. When setting a policy for the infrastructure available you will need to set rules and standards that fit the outline of the technology you have but also you need to be ready for what is to come. Even when you are using the same system and technology the policy will still continually be changing because the system will keep updating. When looking at a business you want a policy that is going to maximize the security and keep everything running properly and this should constantly be read over and revised as new employees and new updates come about. The infrastructure however cannot be predicted because there is no way of knowing what will be produced next and how advanced it will be so a business I believe should always be “on their toes” when it comes to new technology and how to handle it.
