Technology has changed many things including the way that the workforce works as a whole. While manual labor used to be very significant in the workforce, technology has helped aid this labor making it easier for the employees and more productive for the companies. An example of how technology has made working in a business better and more productive is the health care system. Technology has made more cures and helped expand the lifetime of millions of people all over the world. This is very important because without technology none of that would be possible. While it has taken the jobs out of the hands of many struggling people, it has expanded the jobs of many others. When looking at the good and the bad of technology there are many ways that you could say technology has negatively impacted the workforce, especially if you are one of those who had lost their job due to it. While there was a lose of jobs due to the expansion of technology, there were many jobs that opened and created even more job opportunities. If you were to look at a company that manufactured food products, before the expansion it would all be done by hand and would take much longer while now most of it can be done by machinery and make the process go much faster. Another advantage to how technology has changed the workforce is heavy labor, while employees before had to spend days of heavy labor to create one product and have the chance of getting injured doing so, it can now be done faster and more productive. The workplace now relies more on technology than its employers more than often which creates a problem when technology malfunctions. If you are to go into a grocery store and the registers were down, there would be no way to check out which causes a major problem for the business.
