  • Description: As the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American men, Alpha Phi Alpha focuses on developing leaders, promoting brotherhood, and advocating for academic excellence and community service. In my role as Vice President, I have had the privilege of contributing to these initiatives while fostering a positive and supportive environment within the fraternity.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Collaborated closely with the President to ensure the successful execution of chapter goals and activities.
  • Led the planning and coordination of community service projects, such as [specific project], to give back to the local community.
  • Facilitated weekly meetings and assisted in the management of internal communications among fraternity members.

  • Black STEM Coalition
  • Role: President
  • Description: The Black STEM Coalition is dedicated to empowering and supporting Black students in STEM fields, providing mentorship, networking opportunities, and professional development. As President, I lead efforts to increase visibility and opportunities for Black students pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Spearheaded mentorship programs connecting undergraduate STEM students with professionals and alumni in their fields.
  • Organized career development events, including resume workshops, guest speaker events, and industry networking nights to help members gain access to job opportunities and internships.
  • Championed community outreach initiatives to engage local schools and encourage Black youth to pursue STEM education and careers.
  • Worked closely with the Executive Board to set the direction and strategy for the coalition’s activities, ensuring the alignment of goals with the needs of our members.
  • Acted as a primary spokesperson for the organization at campus events and university-wide meetings to raise awareness of the coalition’s mission.
  • National Panhellenic Council (NPHC)
  • Role: Delegate
  • Description: The National Panhellenic Council is the umbrella organization for the nine historically African American fraternities and sororities, often referred to as the “Divine Nine.” As a delegate for NPHC, I represent my chapter and help coordinate inter-greek activities and collaborations with other organizations on campus.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Represented Alpha Phi Alpha at monthly NPHC meetings, collaborating with other Greek organizations to organize joint events and initiatives.
  • Facilitated communication between my fraternity and other Greek-letter organizations, ensuring that all parties were aligned on event goals, dates, and logistics.
  • Assisted in organizing community service and cultural awareness programs that brought together students from various fraternities and sororities to serve the community.
  • Played an active role in planning NPHC-wide events, such as Greek Week and other collaborative programs that promote unity and cultural pride among Greek-lettered organizations on campus.
  • Ensured that my fraternity’s involvement in NPHC activities aligned with our fraternity’s values and mission while fostering a sense of solidarity and collaboration within the broader Greek community.
