Writing Sample #2: Rhetorical Analysis

Reflecting of my rhetorical analysis essay, the same as my Op-Ed essay it lacked clarity, and my examples clouded my argument. While I spoke on Chi Luu’s article and dissected her key points, I didn’t place my ideals properly causing my perspective to be lost. I didn’t use clear transitions throughout points, it dragged on and almost felt like you could go to sleep on how boring it was. My points became repetitive, like you always say less is more. If I had properly placed my points and narrowed them down my argument wouldn’t have been so sloppy and run on. If I had properly proofread my piece, instead of rushing and procrastinating I wouldn’t have had issues. I would have analyzed Chi Luu’s rhetorical skills closer and properly found the impact she had on her audience. Providing more polished examples, and in the end produced a better essay.
