About Jasmine

Welcome to My Sports Journey — No Longer a Secret, but a Story Worth Sharing

Hi everyone! My name is Jasmine Everett, and I’m excited to welcome you to my once-secretive, now very public sports journal. This space is where my passion for the game, my journey through the sports world, and my aspirations for the future all come together.

My love for sports started back in high school when I served as the girls’ basketball team manager. That experience sparked something in me a desire not just to be around the game, but to help teams succeed and thrive behind the scenes. I carried that passion with me to Norfolk State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcasting. During my time at NSU, I was fortunate to work in a variety of roles that deepened my knowledge and fueled my ambition. I served as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations, worked closely with the football program as the Assistant to the Tight Ends and Running Backs Coach, and gained invaluable experience in sports information as a Floor Director and TOC (Technical Operations Coordinator).

What drives me is more than just the love of the game it’s the desire to support teams, help them win, and create a culture of excellence and unity. My ultimate goal is to transcend traditional boundaries, breaking through the glass ceiling as a Black woman in sports. I aspire to become an Assistant to Head Coach or even an Offensive Coordinator in football, carving out a space where women of color belong and thrive.

The sports industry is still a challenging and often unwelcoming place for women, especially Black women, but I believe it’s time for that narrative to change. I’m here to help rewrite it with hard my work, passion, and determination. This journey is about more than just me; it’s about opening doors, creating opportunities, and proving that women of color can and will excel in every aspect of the sports world.

Let’s break that glass ceiling together.
