1. SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)
2. Port 5060 (unencrypted) or 5061 (encrypted)
3. Used for voice, messaging, and other services/applications between two or more points on the IP network. 
4. in 2016, IBM published an article warning about the rise of SIP cyber attacks that accounted for 51% of security events within that year. The article explains how to best prevent an attack and what caused the attack to be so effective.
