I believe that cognitive theories are most closely related to cybercrime. People who rob banks do need the money and most do not tend to hurt people in some theories it is that they believe the bank has money and it overall doesn’t hurt someone at least not physically so therefore it is ok. I think this mindset such as “they have all this money and do not deserve it and taking someone will not affect them” occurs. When cyberbullying does occur online it is easier because you cannot physically see the person and you have no idea how they are at the other end of the screen so it does not have much of an impact on the subconscious. However, if one were to see that person in real life the confidence is gone and it becomes real.

If I had to choose a second theory I would say the psychodynamic theory. People who have suffered tend to make others suffer intentionally and unintentionally as it is their way of feeling less alone.
