1. Multiple Motives
    I believe this is due to many factors that can cause this motive. Wanting someone to recognize you are powerful after they said you are weak. Wanting to get revenge against the people who doubted you is an example.
  2. Recognition
    No one that I have ever met likes to feel like a nobody and powerless. They will shine academically to get recognition from their parents. Power is something people crave and besides showing money as power people want the recognition that they have proven themself or that they were underestimated.
  3. Money
    Money is a motive that has been around for a long time. Whether it is wanting to show off or helping oneself out of financial struggles. Some are even forced to rob banks for someone as a hostage just for the money.
  4. Revenge
    Revenge can be a powerful motive. People have gone silent for one person for years just because of someone saying something they do not like even if it was a close friend. When someone puts their mind to something it can take them over and lead to wanting justice.
  5. Political
    This is ranked at 5 as not all political motives are sown and can be kept secret. People disagree with politics all the time and serious attacks occur because of this, but I do believe it occurs more mixed with another motive such as money or recognition than just politics itself.
  6. Entertainment
    People do many things to entertain. Social media is everywhere. When Vine the social media app was around many would go around and pull pranks even for 7 seconds of fame, but I do believe for it to be ranked higher it does need to be combined with another motive such as the recognition factor once again.
  7. Boredom
    People do many things when bored. No one is exempt from this, but I do believe people find other ways to occupy themself first. Typically people find a way to entertain themself first such as sports or games and I believe this motive is a desperate last resort.
