The speaker discussed how the career of digital forensics ‘fell into his lap’ per se. Davin Teo started as an accountant and moved into the IT world due to an opening. He then proceeded to do both careers eventually completing transferring into the Cyber/IT world. The transition of switching to this completely different field is normal. Many go to college and get a degree, but end up in a field completely different from what is being studied. Another example is while still in college and one is taking a course required, but ends up switching to that degree because that one course connected better to their interest. It can be difficult going for a degree one has no experience in as one then is unsure if one will like completing it outside of the classroom.
