The Technology and Society section highlights courses that examine how technology impacts individuals, organizations, and society as a whole. Through these classes, I explored the relationship between technological innovation, cybersecurity, criminal behavior, and social systems, as well as gained hands-on experience with technical platforms like Linux, Windows, and ArcGIS.


CRJS 215S – Introduction to Criminology

This course introduced the foundational theories of crime and criminal behavior. I participated in class discussions and completed a research paper analyzing the social causes and consequences of crime.

CRJS 344 – Social Science and Crime Mapping

This course explored how geographic information systems (GIS) are used in crime analysis and social science research. I completed ArcGIS crime mapping assignments to visually interpret and present criminal justice data.

CYSE 201S – Cybersecurity as a Social Science

This course examined cybersecurity from a social science perspective, focusing on the human factors and societal impacts of cybercrime. I completed discussions, journal entries, article reviews, and a career-focused research paper.

CYSE 270 – Linux System for Cybersecurity

This technical course introduced the fundamentals of Linux operating systems for cybersecurity applications. I completed lab reports that focused on Linux commands, system administration, and securing Linux environments.
