In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of law enforcement involvement?\u00a0 What resources and references can you cite to back up your assertions?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>If law enforcement is not involved in the process of reporting cybercrime then why put our trust in companies? The debate starts as panic can spread when people find that a massive breach has occurred and information is at risk, but companies want to save face. An organization&#8217;s image should not be more important than a consumer&#8217;s own safety. While I agree someone attempting to break in may not be as important and a customer&#8217;s information is not always taken it is never a bad thing to be safe than sorry. While yes even the people may hide details to prevent a mass panic the truth does eventually come to life when the harm is over.
