Article Review 2
I will be reviewing the article “Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Defense” with artificial intelligence being used in computer systems and networks to defend against malicious attacks and different forms of malware.
AI or artificial intelligence is computer systems able to make decisions or perform specific tasks that human can perform or maybe some tasks that could be done more quickly and efficiently than humans can. AI (Artificial Intelligence) has not just become a thing as it has been around for basically as long as we have had computers or computerized systems. For example, in some circumstances AI would be able to defend networks better than humans because AI could have immediate detect and response times where there may be a lag in response with humans.
I am agreeing to this article with AI (Artificial Intelligence) being implemented into more cyber defense system but also not removing all human interaction in these cyber defense systems as well. Yes, AI (Artificial Intelligence) can have quicker response times and be more efficient but as time goes on humans will eventually find a way to get around AI cyber defense and be able to bypass which would cause a need for the AI defense systems to be programmed repeatedly. Artificial Intelligence also lacks basic decision-making and creativity and only make decision off what it is programmed to do. So, the cons of adding more AI to cyber defense would be a constant need for reprogramming and hackers being able to continuously bypass it.
However, there are pros that would make it more beneficial to add more AI to cyber defense whilst keeping human interaction in the mix as well. AI (Artificial Intelligence) can detect and respond to attacks almost instantly and would be able to protect networks and valuable date more efficiently than humans which would be the most important thing.
