The anonymity that cyber technology provides for workplace deviance is evident. The ability to take longer breaks because an individual is focused on their phone can distract them from their job. Cyber technology can also be used to spread harmful messages or confidential information to other coworkers. This type of situation reminds me of a barbeque restaurant that was in my hometown that got robbed by four people while armed. A situation where something like this could’ve happened is likely a confidential issue spread by bad actors. Informants who were then employees of the restaurant used the information that they gathered( that being where the money would be or any access control that they could get passed) to commit armed robbery against the restaurant. This, I think, is an example of workplace deviance.
