Exploring Culture

Lingro Learning would have us view the lives of different Spanish-speaking countries; I have seen other practices, lifestyles, and values. The cultural activities have taught me that Spanish is more prominent than I thought it was and has many subcategories
Interpersonal Communication
TalkAbrod was a great way to use what I’ve been learning in action. I had to speak with a Spanish speaker to practice my speaking skill. I was initially nervous, but everything began to flow as soon as the conversation started. Even when I heard something I didnt know, I could use context clues to figure it out.
Presentational Speaking

At the beginning of the semester, the class had to create a family tree and introduce the class to each family member in complete Spanish. The Family Tree was a great starter project to start the semester because it allowed me a little fun while practicing what we have practiced.
Presentational Writing

In the assignment above, the project was to create an advertisement promoting an activity and list why people should participate. I choose to do yoga because that is my favorite physical activity. Even though I had some trouble, I still had fun because I am learning.
Interpretive Listening

On lingrolearning, one of the activities was a listening portion. I had to listen to a sound clip and highlight all the vocabulary terms through the audio. This grade was to familiarize me with new vocab and helped me pay attention to a topic in a Spanish conversation.
