The drawing that I created is a version of the monomeric structure of the IgM antibody. This antibody can be found in a pentamer form which is known as the sIgM. This molecule shares some features its monomer component such as structural similarities in their domains as well as in specific regions like the C𝜇. Where the differences began to emerge between these two structures are with the C-terminal β strands that can be found on the pentamer version of IgM. These stands go through a process known as oligomerization where they take monomers, in this case mIgM, and form them into a larger structure built out of the same monomers.
