Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication
Exploring Culture
During the semester, I learned about the richness of the Spanish culture. Whether you’re learning about Spain, Argentina or the Dominican Republic, the culture is full of diversity. In Spain, there are festivals every month around the country celebrating some of their rich history. People from Spanish cultures actually greet one another with a kiss on each cheek rather than the typical handshake we’re accustomed to in American culture. I love the level of respect the Spanish culture places on elders. Another interesting bit of knowledge I learned is that college students do not live on campus like we are familiar with here in the United States. Rather, they commute to school and typically live at home during their studies.

Interpersonal Communication
In LingroLearning (Contraseña) activities and other assignments outside of Contraseña, we had numerous occasions where we were to record ourselves speaking Spanish. This consisted of the alphabet or numbers, or even vocabulary. The artifacts below are from a few of those assignments.

Presentational Speaking
In Spanish 101, we completed various speaking activities through a platform called Flipgrid. These presentations allowed us to engage with one another by answering and asking questions in Spanish. The artifact I have chosen is a video presentation with my professor.

Presentational Writing
Throughout the semester, we utilized LingroLearning (Contraseña) to complete various learning activities. These activities included some writing examples we were to come up with utilizing vocabulary from a particular module. My artifact below is one example of a writing activity where we provided a descriptive response about a friend of ours.
