Comparing cybersecurity risks in the U.S. to another country.

The US government has utilized media as a tool to increase self-awareness among American Citizens about different types of security attacks, and what they can do to prevent leaks of passwords and account access. As technology evolves, Governments must develop new ways to track crimes caused by attackers to steal our data. The US is also more proficient at security operations, while the European Countries place more focus on frameworks, standardization and processes of their own economy and infrastructure. With the huge amount of personal and business information that is now flowing across the internet due to the wider access it now provides, it opens more avenues for cyber attackers to get access to our data and use it for malicious intents. However, the United States is not the only country that feels the damage caused by phishing, there is also China, Russia, Ukraine, and Brazil that are heavily targeted as well.  I can see why these countries are being disrupted by the inconvenience of phishing.  These countries manufacture goods and send them all over the world.  For example, most products are made in China, Russia, Brazil, and the United States. Someone having access to the import information or where the money is going can access very important information and steal from people’s hard work. The US ranks Top 3 in cyber-safety with a score of 8.73, due to its low cyber security exposure and strong legislation passed to prevent this cyber-crime. “Nation-state hackers are the most serious in terms of the threats the U.S. faces” (Macy D, 2022). So, the US doesn’t really have to worry about international hackers trying to hack the government because the US is top notch when it comes to cybersecurity and the government makes sure of this by implemented a lot of cyber security opportunities throughout the nation.
