Crimes can vary from Cyber harassment, fraud, digital piracy, sex crimes, and the worst of all, Cyberwar. Cyber-harassment is an unjustifiable crime that has been committed.\u00a0 Victims involved can be very traumatized psychologically. This issue is a huge crime in my eyes as someone is being harassed through the computer screen and can lead to serious consequences. A huge example of this would be someone\u2019s daughter who was a victim of this. The offender was intentionally acting as an imposter that would be communicating with someone’s daughter, but it turned out to be someone else in the neighborhood. After years of harassing and bullying the victim, the daughter had enough and ended up killing herself just because of the words being said by the offender. Cyberwar offenders can have serious intent to cause damage to higher powers, this is a huge crime and can be committed internationally. The victims tend to be innocent people who do not expect these types of these to occur. The problem is we cannot plan or expect these attacks when it occurs. \u00a0This number of victims and offenders seem to be increasing every day. The two different sides of cybertechnology involve the person who is being victimized and the person who is committing the crime. Since these crimes are being committed digitally, the offenders do not feel like they are committing a crime. But this is very false as they tend to cause as much damage and money loss. The crime stills hold the same punishable time as if it was face to face. The hard part of this is the offender being located behind a computer screen, eliminates a lot of different factors. People can fall victim to a crime and not even be aware of it till days later. This happens cause many people don\u2019t know what to look for or what are red flags for making themselves an at-risk target of these types of cybercrime.
