1. Describe three ways that computers have made the world safer and less safe.

One way computers have made the world safe is the easy access of information. Easily accessibility of information has saved countless lives when people are in the hospital. All they had to do was just to look up a file in their system and save somebody from a potential allergy they may have. The second way computers have made the world safer is they allow for easy communication in dire situations. This is commonly known today as 911, but the operators behind the call mainly operate on a computer. Once again this has saved countless lives from life-threatening situations. The third way computers have made the world safer is through surveillance. This has stopped people from committing crimes because some of them are afraid of getting caught. This has deterred many robbers and attackers, as well as helped people tell who did what and has helped people in court. However, computers have also caused a lot of harm. The first way computers have harmed the world is that they can get your Ip address and find your house. This is a big threat to someone’s life and is nothing to mess around with. The second way computers have made this world less safe is that information can get released like medical records and SSN. This can cause hackers to change information posing as the person which can harm somebody’s career or ability to get a job. The third way computers have made people unsafe is that somebody can send messages online and can call which can escalate and get into an angry scuffle online which could lead to real life.

2. How do engineers make cyber networks safer?

They update cyber networks which makes it harder for unauthorized to access personal information. This can help mitigate some of the harmful reasons that I realized above like stealing private information.
