-How does cyber technology impact interactions between offenders and victims?

Cyber technology impacts interactions between offenders and victims by creating more ways for offenders to terrorize and follow victims. With the rise of social media platforms came the ability for offenders to easily access such platforms and find out more information about their victims. Along with this information came cyber bullying through comments, posts, and private messages. Cyber technology has also made cyber stalking harder to detect and identify. Information that you thought was private might be viewed through a friend of the offender or through fake a fake account. Cyber technology has also put cameras on almost everything making private situations easy to record and then be uploaded whenever something goes sour in the relationship. Offenders can also try and engage in communication or relationships with underage children, who may not know any better about the communication they are engaging in. Offender’s can easily go undetected or unreported because victims could be concerned for their lives or may not know who to report these offenses to.
