Determining that data is reliably obtained, stored, and often checked for accuracy is important because it can determine the fate of companies, organizations, or even individuals depending on the information that is being stored.

It is critical to implement proper security measures to avoid unwanted access, data breaches, or data loss. • The Retention of Data: Data retention is the practice of holding data for a set amount of time before deleting or removing it. Data should not be held longer than is necessary or used for anything other than what it was intended for, which is the ethical issue in this instance. If people are not aware of what their information is being used for, it can be used negatively in many ways.
