Per my currently, completed courses, I have experience ranging through multiple aspects of cyber-security. I have experience running systems scans for devices, participated in penetration testing, foundations of ethical hacking (i.e. dictionary attacks in accessing accounts), analyzed network traffic under multiple conditions, set-up and managed user accounts per Windows Operating System, and configured firewall settings per ODU verified Virtual-Machines.  As well, I have participated in creating a report summarizing the Vulnerability Assessment for tech. businesses that have faced cyber-crime. And lastly, I have most recently completed a study proving that Cyber-Security Awareness training is a necessary and effective measure in improving general security for businesses in the healthcare and medical industries.

As I continue to complete courses and eventually my degree, I would like to acquire some certifications (such as the foundational CompTIA Security + certificate) and start my career in the industry. Ideally, I’d like to work as a consultant or analyst meaning any experience I can gain from working in the industry would be beneficial as I would be able to better understand the modern trends and needs for cyber-security and what companies are expecting from those who are in the field.
