In my opinion the human factor depicted in this meme is one of monotony. Day in and day out students and personnel that work with or on computers usually find the task boring. This is because computers almost eliminate human interaction.

In my opinion, the human race in general is approaching a point where human factors need to come into play more. For example what seems to be a generally cute puppy with glasses staring at an Ipad, is so much more. Some pour soul made this dog sit and wear goofy attire while they take a picture. This someone is trying to get attention because their brain lacks serotonin. Sadly instead of looking for the affection of strangers all they had to do was play with their dog.

The human factor portrayed in this meme is one of apparent happiness. I have honestly never been a huge fan of MAC computers, but I can admit they are very human friendly. Their whole persona and line of technology products is based on their mission statement “bringing the best user experience to customers through innovative hardware, software, and services.” This being said they base their technology off human wants and needs. To take advantage of the situation, they make their products unreasonably expensive. They do this because people will pay large amounts of money to receive apparent happiness.

The human factor that is portrayed in this meme is one of obliviousness. This human, as we see him, is missing a beautiful sunset across the city skyline, because he is staring at a computer screen. Sadly this is the way of things now. Computers have become so user friendly that the user misses out on many things.

In my opinion the human factor of this meme is one of disregard to the respect of others. The reason for this is that this man is trying to get the presenter to repeat the question because he was on his phone. Upon being questioned on his actions he placed the phone face down to explain himself. When setting up the meeting the presenter should have considered the human factor of the mind wandering after a certain amount of time. If considered the presenter could have asked them to leave their phones at the door or turn them off.

Mia is an undergrad who just found out she got into MIT for her the grad program. The human factor displayed here is that a device held in our hand can bring us both joy and pain. Take the same scenario, and show her receiving an email from the registrar stating they made a mistake and her grades just weren’t high enough. The alternate meme would probably show her throwing her phone at the wall or bashing it on the rail whilst crying.

The human factor shown in this meme is one of reminiscing. While technology both brings us together and separates us, their is always the option to reminisce about the past. Lyndsey appears to be an artist with dogs, she has traveled and enjoys taking pictures of her food and drinks. Unfortunately technology has evolved so much that her amazon, google, and social media will recommend, art products, dog products, places to get similar food and drinks, and travel tickets.

Whilst the forefront oh human factors include perspectives if different devices, what a person is feeling when using a device, and basic demographic characteristics to name a few, one rarely thinks of how the technology affects the human being physically. As can be seen in the meme following this paragraph. While the ergonomic device is slowly but surely evolving some people have already sustained lifelong injuries such as poor posture and obesity. This brings a thought of the whole gaming chair industry, none of them have considered the human factor of posture. Funny enough race car seats, which most gaming chairs are designed after, are designed to lock you into position so you can see everything around you and not sustain injuries upon impacts. They are not designed with comfort in mind.

The human factor being displayed here is distraction. Most of the right side of the room is actively listening, one can assume this by their body postures and focus on the presenter. The left side of the room consists of someone taking notes, someone blankly staring off into space, a young lady on her phone, 2 people openly staring at laptops, and 3 more active listeners. The people not paying attention are with one exception, the younger generation.

The human factor shown here is a study of demographics. These individuals have probably never seen snow and it excites them. The person taking the picture is also creating a memory for them to reminisce about in the future.
In conclusion human factors consider all aspects of life. This includes new technologies that are including human factors now to not only make a profit but to better peoples lives. This is done by helping people record memories, talk to each other even though their a million miles apart. But with the good comes the bad, the devices we use keep us constantly distracted to the point where we dress our dogs up just for likes. Thankfully companies are finally realizing that being hunched over a computer screen 24/7 is ruining our posture. In the end, new positions need to be created at corporations, and their main focus should not be the technology, but the human using it.
