I am currently a second-year student at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. I have declared my major to be Cyber Security. ODU offers a 5-year Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program in Cyber Security. I will apply for entry into that program at the end of my third year at ODU.

 

Work Experience:

Ennis Electric Company                                                                                 Summer 2018 Information Technology Assistant – Full Time

I was responsible for regular maintenance and upgrades of all of the company’s computers (approximately 40); I assisted with maintenance on the servers; and I did research for the IT manager on a range of topics. I reported to the IT Manager for the company.

 

 

Ennis Electric Company                                                                                 Summer 2017

Construction Site Laborer – Full Time

I worked at the Museum of the Bible Renovation project. I was responsible for moving materials from storage areas to individual work areas to support installation by electricians. I also, did job site cleaning and trash removal as needed. I reported to the job foreman. I learned the importance of being on time every day at 5:30 AM and working full 40-hour work weeks, because the team would suffer if I missed work. The work was also very physically challenging.

 

 

Vans Outlet

Sales Associate – Part Time                                                                            Summer-Fall 2019

            I worked as a sales associate and backroom stocker at the Vans location at the outlet mall. I worked with customers, assisting them with finding the right shoes and size. I also stocked the backroom, making sure everything was in the proper place.

I have completed hundreds of service hours for local charities including:

This is an award given to the student with the greatest increase in GPA. I received the award for the increase in my GPA from my Sophomore to Junior Year.
