This e-portfolio has been a long process and has taken me lot of time to create and I hope to continue adapting it as time goes on. When I first approached this project, I was very nervous and unsure what I was going to do and how exactly I would structure my portfolio. As we have gone through this course, I have slowly gained more confidence in building a portfolio and finding out what I am aiming to do as far as my career and what I would use the portfolio for in general. Even though I have attempted portfolios in the past for other classes, I was never fully guided in the process and I never fully understood what I was actually doing. Throughout this class I have been able to learn that an portfolio is more than just a project needed to complete a course, but a tool that can be used for educational and professional purposes.

When I first started building my portfolio, I had to decide on the skills I wanted to display and emphasize. I feel I have a lot of skills that are great but narrowing down to 3 is difficult and being able to show evidence of them through different assignments and examples is even tougher. I was able to narrow it down to 3 skill and then the difficult part was finding the right evidence or artifacts that supported my skills.

Once I was able to narrow down my skills and find some ways to display my evidence, it came down to the overall structure of my portfolio. I needed to display my experience and work with organization but in a way that would catch someone’s attention. It took me awhile since I am fairly new to learning how to operate the application for the portfolio but I was able to structure my project fairly close to what my goal was. Moving forward, I will continue to update my portfolio and work to make it more detailed and all-encompassing.

Overall, this course has really taught me a lot about the possibilities with using and e-portfolio and has given me a lot of insight to my career path in general When setting up my e portfolio, it has helped me further evaluate where I am going with my career path and with my educational path. I used to be somewhat lost on the path in cybersecurity, but since I have done a lot of self reflection within this course for this project, I have been more focused on becoming a security analyst within cybersecurity and I am working on adjusting my path to where that is achievable.  I appreciate this course for hat it has taught me and what it has helped me realize about myself and my potential as well.
