Hi, my name is Jerel Dent!

I am a dedicated student attending Old Dominion University in the graduating class of 2026. I am majoring in cybersecurity, with a goal of one day starting a career in the cyber field. While I do not have any current cybersecurity experience, at ODU it is a focus of mine to take advantage of every opportunity presented. I plan on applying for internships, connecting with resources to gain more knowledge about certifications and cyber, and studying the many different concepts and ideas within the cybersecurity field.

I graduated from Highland Springs High School (class of ’24) in Richmond, VA. While at Highland Springs, I was a member of the Advanced College Academy (ACA) program, the Becoming Kings mentorship program, and the football team. I graduated with an associates degree in Business from J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College while maintaining a 3.9 gpa.
