When reviewing the NICE Workforce Framework there are certain areas that I would want to focus my potential career as a cybersecurity analyst on. Some areas that appeal to me the most are:
- Incident Response: responds to emergencies or crisis circumstances in the relevant domain to reduce hazards both present and future. maximizes life survival, property preservation, and information security by making use of mitigation, preparation, reaction, and recovery measures as necessary. examines and evaluates all pertinent response-related activity.
- Vulnerability Assessment and Management: Determines deviations from permissible configurations, corporate or local policy; evaluates the amount of risk; conducts evaluations of threats and vulnerabilities; develops and/or proposes effective mitigation strategies in operational and nonoperational scenarios.
- Systems Administration: Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of server setups by installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining their hardware and software. manages firewalls, fixes, and accounts. accountable for password management, account creation, and access control.
On the other hand, the areas that appeal to me the least are:
- Cyber Operational Planning: comprehensively plans the integrated targeting and cybersecurity processes. collects data and creates intricate operational plans and orders that satisfy requirements. carries out comprehensive operational planning at the strategic and operational levels for integrated information and cyberspace operations.
- Program/Project Management and Acquisition: To manage acquisition programs, one must have knowledge of data, information, procedures, organizational connections, skills, and analytical prowess, as well as understanding of systems, networks, and information exchange capabilities. performs tasks related to program management rules and acquisition programs for hardware, software, and information systems. Applying IT-related regulations and rules and offering IT-related counsel across the entire acquisition life cycle, this service provides direct support for acquisitions that involve information technology (IT), including National Security Systems.
