Research Proposal and Annotated Bibliography

The Research Proposal and Annotated Bibliography was assigned in class so as to provide students with experience in creating one. This assignment includes the construction of a thesis statement, a 500-600 word proposal as well as an alphabetized list of eight annotated citations from weekly articles we were asked to do throughout the semester. It also relates to my major of accounting as it helped me to practice concise explanation, which I need practice on. There were many things I learned with the completion of this submission. For example, how to format a thesis statement for a proposal as well as how to structure a proposal in order to draw the interest of readers. It also taught me the importance of time allocation as this assignment was easier if we complete the previous weekly article assignments as we were told. The weekly articles also introduced the format for creating annotated bibliographies, which I have never been asked to create. As the weekly articles also included citations, I was able to practice MLA format and realize what I needed to work on when creating citations. The annotations we had to pair each citation also helped me practice grammar and usage as the first few were checked for it.
