I am a senior at Old Dominion University expecting to complete my classes required for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science during the Fall 2023 semester. I am 30 years old. After graduating High School in 2010, I enlisted in the United States Navy and served on active duty for 6 years. Following my time on active duty, I was employed for 6 years in various roles in support of the U.S. Navy as a contractor working as a Linux systems administrator and Systems Engineer. It was during this time that I started pursuing my bachelor’s degree, attending every Spring, Summer, and Fall semester, starting in the Spring 2019 semester while working full time. I currently work as a Linux Systems Administrator as a contractor in support of NASA.

I enrolled in Spanish classes at ODU to meet degree requirements and because I had previous experience learning Spanish in high school, but I have found practicing the language to be rewarding and I hope to continue to practice and maintain some level of fluency for the rest of my life.
